Mrs. Charlene Palmore-Lewis
Charlene Palmore-Lewis grew up in Philadelphia where she began her Christian walk at Mt. Sinai Tabernacle Baptist Church.

After graduating from Philadelphia High School for Girls, She attended Millersville University where she was an active member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority. She graduated in 1988 with a Bachelors degree in Biology/Respiratory Therapy. It was during these tender years, that she met her college sweetheart, Stephen Michael Lewis, who was destined to become her lifelong partner.

Inspired to address the challenging issues of healthcare, Ms. Palmore-Lewis embarked upon a career at the prestigious University of Pennsylvania Medical Center as a Respiratory Care Practitioner. Through progressive assignments and promotions, she earned the role of department Clinical Coordinator but later would resign the position to pursue her love for history and historic events. Hence she has earned a Master of Science Degree in Historic Preservation from the School of Design at the University of Pennsylvania.

Whether she wears the hat of President and CEO of Philadelphia Historic African American Tours, LLC, dedicated-wife of Stephen Michael Lewis of Bethel African Methodist Episcopal Church, or loving mommy to her Young Adult Son, Sean, who is currently a student at Morgan State University in Baltimore, MD majoring in Physical Education and also serves as the President of the 1st Episcopal District President of the (YPD) Young People's and Children's Division of the African Methodist Episcopal Church., First Lady Lewis engaging style and compassionate character is a true reflection of her desire to always seek the best in herself and others.
